Vinayan announces Pathonpathaam Noottandu release date

Director Vinayan’s ambitious period film ‘Pathonpathaam Noottandu’ is currently in the final stages of shoot. The makers are planning to wrap up shoot on November 22. Last day, through a Facebook post, director Vinayan announced that the film will be hitting screens on April 14, 2022. Earlier, when there were talks about OTT release, the director dismissed it and stated that the film has been designed for a big screen experience and it will only be released in theatres no matter how long it takes.

‘Pathonpathaam Noottandu’ is an epic-period film set in the 19th century. Siju Wilson plays the lead role of Arattupuzha Velayudha Panicker, a brave Ezhava chieftain who lived in the 19th century. The film is primarily about the untold story of Panicker, who was the first martyr of the Kerala Renaissance movement.

Along with him, the film has a huge ensemble of actors. Chemban Vinod plays the role of Kayamkulam Kochunni. Kayadu Lohar, Anoop Menon, Deepti Sati, Sudheer Karamana, Suresh Krishna, Sudev Nair, Sreejith Ravi, Jaffer Idukki, Senthil Krishna, Bibin George, Biju Pappan, Indrans, Poonam Bajwa, Madhuri Braganza and many others are part of the supporting cast.

Gokulam Gopalan is producing this big-budget film.
