Vipin Das and Mohanlal to Join Hands for a Big-Budget Fun Film?

Director Vipin Das, who delivered hits like Jaya Jaya Jaya Jaya Hey and Guruvayoor Ambalanadayil, is reportedly gearing up for a collaboration with Malayalam superstar Mohanlal. While an official announcement is yet to be made, sources suggest that Aashirvad Cinemas will bankroll the film, marking a significant milestone in Vipin Das’s career. The project is expected to go on floors only next year, as Mohanlal is committed to multiple films.

Before commencing work on the Mohanlal starrer, Vipin Das will first direct Santhosh Trophy, featuring Prithviraj Sukumaran in the lead. The family entertainer is set to begin filming this summer. Meanwhile, Mohanlal has a packed schedule with films like Hridayapoorvam by Sathyan Anthikad, MMMN by Mahesh Narayanan, Drishyam 3 by Jeethu Joseph, and an Anoop Menon directorial. He will also likely complete projects with Amal Neerad and Romancham fame Jithu Madhavan before stepping into Vipin Das’s film.

Vipin Das is also expanding his horizon as a writer and producer with Vaazha 2, a sequel to Vaazha – Biopic of a Billion Boys, which will commence production this year. If the Mohanlal project materializes as speculated, it will be a career-defining moment for the filmmaker, promising a fresh and exciting cinematic experience for audiences.
