Virunnu: Arjun Sarja part of Kannan Thamarakkulam’s next

Veteran Tamil actor Arjun Sarja is set to act in a new Malayalam film titled ‘Virunnu’. The film is directed by Kannan Thamarakkulam and scripted by Dinesh Pallath. Arjun was last seen in Malayalam in ‘Jack Daniel’, in which he shared screen space with Dileep. He is also part of the upcoming biggie ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’.

‘Virunnu’ has him playing a mysterious character. The cast also includes Gireesh Neyyar, Mukesh, Baiju Santhosh, Aju Varghese, Dharmajan Bolgatty, Hareesh Peradi and Asha Sarath among others. The film will have music by Ratheesh Vega and cinematography by Ravichandran. VT Sreejith is the editor. The makers are planning to start shooting in May.

‘Virunnu’ marks the fifth outing of Kannan Thamarakkulam and Dinesh Pallath together. The writer-director duo has previously teamed up for ‘Thinkal Muthal Velli Vare’, ‘Aadupuliyattam’, ‘Pattabhiraman’ and ‘Maradu 357’.

‘Maradu 357’ based on the Maradu flats demolition is expected to hit screens soon. The film was completed almost a year back but release got delayed due to the pandemic.
