Viswasam censored with clean U; All set for a grand Pongal release

Thala Ajith’s highly anticipated rural entertainer Viswasam has cleared the final roadblock on its way before the release. The movie went to the censors today and has been granted a clean U certificate. As per trustworthy reports, the run time is 2 hours 32 minutes which is perfect for a festival time family entertainer.

Viswasam directed by Siva has Ajith appearing in two different looks. Nayanthara plays the female lead. The cast also includes Yogi Babu, Vivek, Jagapathi Babu, Ravia Wana, Anikha, Thambi Ramaiah, Bose Venkat, Robo Shankar and Kovai Sarala. The technical crew comprises of cinematographer Vetri, music director D Imman, stunt choreographer Dilip Subbarayan and editor Ruben.

Viswasam is Ajith’s fourth film with director Siva after Veeram, Vedhalam and Vivegam. While Veeram and Vedhalam were commercially successful, Vivegam was unimpressive and bombed at the box office. The duo will be hoping to reap success this time with Viswasam.

Sathya Jyothi Films is producing the movie and KJR Studios is distributing in Tamil Nadu. With the censoring done, all eyes are now on January 10. Kollywood is set to Viswasam witness a huge box office clash as both Rajinikanth’s Petta is also scheduled for the same day. The Thala Thalaivar battle is on.
