VJS 46: Vijay Sethupathi’s new film announced

Sun Pictures is set to produce a new film starring Vijay Sethupathi. Ponram is directing the film, official announcement regarding which has just made via Twitter. From the announcement video, it looks like a cop-action film featuring Vijay Sethupathi as a high rank police officer. Tentatively titled as ‘VJS 46’, the film has D Imman as the music director, Dinesh Krishnan as the cinematographer and Vivek Harshan as the editor.

Director Ponram is known for his recurring collaboration with Sivakarthikeyan. They have teamed up for rural mass entertainers like ‘Varuthapadatha Valibar Sangam’, ‘Rajinimurugan’ and ‘Seemaraja’. While the first two films were commercially successful, the third one failed to make an impact. The director also has a film titled ‘MGR Magan’ in the making. Sasikumar and Sathyaraj star in the film, which is gearing up for release.

Ponram will be hoping to return back to winning ways with his new film with Vijay Sethupathi. More details regarding the project are expected to be out soon.
