Want to work with the genius Lijo Jose Pellissery: Manoj Bajpayee

Lijo Jose Pellissery is now a popular name among the film buffs across the country. The success of latest release ‘Jallikkattu’ has got people talking about Lijo once again. Lijo was recently invited for screenings and interaction sessions at various events in Mumbai. Two-time National award winning actor Manoj Bajpayee caught up with Lijo recently. He took to his social media handle to share a photo taken together. Along with the photo, he also expressed his wish to work with the ‘genius’ Lijo.

Lijo Jose Pellissery first grabbed nationwide attention with his film ‘Angamaly Diaries, that got released in 2016. The film was a huge success and made people take notice of this maverick filmmaker from South. Lijo followed it up with ‘Ee Maa Yau’, another film that got widespread acclaim. It won him the Silver Peacock for the best director at last year’s International Film Festival of India (IFFI).

This year, Lijo once again weaved magic with ‘Jallikattu’. The film premiered at Toronto International Film Festival and received phenomenal response from both the foreign and Indian critics. It had its released in theatres on October 4 and has done good business at the box office.
