Tovino’s latest film ‘Forensic’, which hit screens last day, is getting positive reports from all corners. The film written and directed by Akhil Paul and Anas Khan seems to have satisfied the thriller loving Malayali audience. Going by the initial response, ‘Forensic’ is certain to have a successful run at the box office. Critic reviews and the feedback from general audience have all been largely positive. Even a proven filmmaker like Ranjith Sankar has heaped praised on the makers. In his Facebook page, the director has written,

‘Forensic’ is basically an investigative-thriller centred around a series of abduction and killing of girl children in Trivandrum city. Mamta Mohandas essays the character of an IPS officer named Rithika Xavier and she heads the investigation. Tovino Thomas plays the lead role of a medico legal advisor in the film. ‘Bigil’ fame Reba Monica John assists him. Rony David, Anwar Shereef and Renji Panciker are also part of the investigating team. How they manage to solve the case based on scientific evidences, killing patterns and similarities with a series of similar killings 10 years back have been presented in a thoroughly engaging manner.

Saiju Kurup, ‘Lilli’ fame Dhanesh Anand, Prathap Pothen, Giju John, Anil Murali, Srikanth Murali and many others are part of the supporting cast. Music director Jakes Bejoy, cinematographer Akhil George and editor Shameer Muhammed form the main technical team. The film is produced by Navis Xaviour and Siju Mathew under the banner of Juvis Productions and Raju Malliath’s Ragam Movies.
