Why Tiyaan is one of the most anticipated movies of the season?

Tiyaan is easily one of the most anticipated Malayalam movies of the year. The reasons for the same are aplenty. The talented siblings Prithviraj and Indrajith are teaming up. Both the actors have mentioned their characters in Tiyaan as the most complex and challenging ones they ever had to perform.

The movie is written by Murali Gopy. He has proved his calibre as a scenarist with his powerful writings in movies like Ee Adutha Kaalathu and Left Right Left. Besides that he is also playing a pivotal part as Ramakant Mahasay.

Tiyaan boasts of a huge star cast that includes Padmapriya, Ananya, Shine Tom Chacko, Mrudula Sathe, veteran Hindi actor Ranjeeth, Rahul Madhav, Shine Tom Chacko, Suraj Venjaramoodu, Prakash Bare and Paris Lakshmi and many others.

Tiyaan is said to be one of the most expensive Malayalam movies to have released till date. The movie is a socio-political drama and it’s plot is set in the North Indian milieu. Huge sets resembling the North Indian locales were erected in the Ramoji Rao Film City, where the team shot for around 100 days in different schedules. Tiyaan is the only movie after Baahubali to be shot for such long periods in the film city. The movie was shot in locations like Nasik, Varanasi, Ladakh etc. They filmed the famous Kumbh Mela live in 2015. Several shots were filmed amidst 1000 or more artists in live locations. Haneef Mohammed of Red Rose Creations funded the movie with a budget of around Rs 25 crores.

And to top it all, superstar Mohanlal has lent his voice for the movie’s narration. The movie, directed by Jiyen Krishnakumar is a mix genre attempt, which is a first in Malayalam cinema. The promos have not yet revealed anything about it’s plot and that has piqued the curiosity of the audience. From whatever we get to see in the promos, we can presume that Tiyaan will be a new experience for the Malayali audience.
