Working in Carbon was a new experience for me: Fahadh Faasil

After a wonderful 2017, Fahadh Faasil will be hoping to continue his rich form this year as well. He will be starting this year with Carbon, which is gearing up for release. The movie directed by veteran cinematographer-turned-filmmaker Venu has Mamta Mohandas playing the female lead. It is a realistic adventure thriller set in the backdrop of forests.

Fahadh Faasil is playing the role of Sibi, a rustic youth from Kottayam. The actor says shooting for Carbon was a new experience for him. The team travelled to almost all the forests in Kerala for shooting. They had to endure a lot of difficulties to complete the shoot. Fahadh thanked every single crew member right from the production boy to the artists for putting their best of efforts to compete the movie successfully. Our sources close to the unit inform that Fahadh has given a spectacular performance in the movie.

Carbon is a very exciting film as it has some big names associated with it. KU Mohanan, who has wielded the camera in movies like Don, Raees, Talaash etc is making his Malayalam debut with Carbon. Multiple national award winning director-composer Vishal Bhardwaj is handling the music department. Director Venu’s wife Beena Paul, who is also a National award winner, is handling the edits.

Carbon also has a big star cast which includes Soubin Shahir, Sharafudheen, Manikandan Achari, Dileesh Pothan, Ashokan, Lena, Nedumudi Venu, Vijayaraghavan, Kochu Preman and Guppy fame Master Chetan Lal among others. The movie is being produced jointly by Sibi Thottapuram and Navis Xaviour under the banner of Poetry Film House.
