It’s a wrap for Markkar: Arabikadalinte Simham
After shooting for over 100 days, ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’ has finally come to an end. The last schedule was held near Kovalam beach in Trivandrum. The makers have shared various stills from the location informing the completion of shoot. This Priyadarshan directorial is claimed to be the most expensive movie ever in Malayalam.
The period flick based on the life of Kunjali Marakkar has actors from various industries from across the country as part of its cast. Apart from lead actor Mohanlal, the cast comprises of his son Pranav, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Sarja, Keerthy Suresh, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Prabhu, Mukesh, Siddique, Ashok Selvan, Manju Warrier, Baburaj, Nedumudi Venu, Hareesh Perady, Nandu, Innocent, Ganesh Kumar, Suresh Kumar, Santhosh Keezhattoor and many others.
‘Marakkar’ is reportedly made on a budget of Rs 100 crores. Mohanlal’s Aashirvad Cinemas, Confident Group and Moonshot Entertainment are jointly producing the movie. Apart from the star studded cast,the movie also has some big james in the technical crew. National award winner Tirru cranks the camera and Sabu Cyril is in charge of the production design. A Los Angeles based company is handling the VFX works.
A year long post-production works have been planned by the makers.
