Ambili Movie Review Rating Hit Or Flop
Ambili Review: A truly heartwarming feel-good film
Director John Paul George’s sophomore film ‘Ambili’ starring Soubin Shahir, Naveen Nazim and Tanvi Ram has hit screens. Right from the opening scene, ‘Ambili’ comes as a beautiful film that invokes laughs, empathize with the characters, moves you at times and by the end of it all, offers an extremely satisfying movie watching experience.
In short, ‘Ambili’ is a clean feel-good entertainer powered by a fantastic performance from its lead actor Soubin Shahir. As the titular character, Soubin has pulled off a remarkable act that further proves his mettle as an actor. While debutant Naveen Nazim comes good only in parts, the other newcomer Tanvi Ram impresses big time. Vettukili Prakash scores neatly in one particular scene, which comes at an important juncture in the film.
‘Ambili’ is written by director John Paul himself. So, the movie has a similar mood to his debut venture, ‘Guppy’. It is all about compassion, brotherhood and the goodness seen in people around us. The movie has a travel angle and it has been shot in various states across the country. Sharan Velayudhan’s cinematography is a real treat to the eyes as he captured some splendid visuals.
Another biggest highlight of ‘Ambili’, is its music by Vishnu Vijay, who was the composer in ‘Guppy’ as well. Vishnu’s delightful music helps a great deal in amplifying the mood of the film. The song ‘Aaradhike’ in particular strikes a chord instantly. Kiran Das has edited the movie quite effectively.
Overall, ‘Ambili’ is a wonderful film in which almost all aspects of filmmaking blend superbly to offer a very pleasant experience.
