Padmini : Once again, Senna Hegde demonstrates his knack for delivering light-hearted comedy film.

With skillful character arrangements and engaging storylines, the movie emerges as a delightful comedy. Kunchako Boban’s portrayal of a 36-year-old man seeking a life partner adds to the entertainment value, while the film’s unique narrative settings contribute to its humor. Although there may be slight variations in the comedic tone towards the end, Deepu Pradeep’s writing ensures a cohesive experience throughout.

Rameshan, a college lecturer, faced a failed first marriage when his bride, Smrithi, eloped with her lover on their wedding night. Prior to the arrival of Padmini, a visiting lecturer, Rameshan had not contemplated remarriage. However, his past relationship unexpectedly resurfaces, creating a challenging situation that Rameshan and his lawyer must navigate in the film.

The scenic backdrop of “Padmini” adds to its humor, particularly in scenes featuring Sajin Cherukayil. Departing from Senna’s familiar Kasargode setting, the new geographical environment captured by Sreeraj Raveendran’s frames brings vibrancy to the film.

The collaboration between Senna Hegde, known for “Thinkalazhcha Nishchayam,” and Deepu Pradeep, the writer of “Kunjiramayanam,” proves successful in the wedding comedy genre. Senna masterfully incorporates a touch of realism into Deepu’s humorous language. Additionally, Jakes Bejoy’s songs seamlessly blend with the film, enhancing the overall cinematic experience.
