Reliance Jio’s free offers launched in September 2016 had helped them cross 100 plus million subscribers in 170 days. Their entry to the scene started a fierce competition in the telecom sector.
The telecom giant after six months of free offers launched the Jio Prime membership that gave its subscribers discounts on application usage and data benefits for a year for a one time recharge of Rs 99. They later launched the Dhan Dhana Dhan offer which had minimum recharges of around Rs 300 for benefits for three months.
