Singam 3 aka S3 teaser review

Singam 3 directed by Hari is gearing up for release on December 16. Teaser for the movie was released today.

Suriya as the forthright cop Durai Singam is back in action with the trademark handle bar mustache. The 85 second was very poor and indicates that the movie is just another commercial potboiler.

Just like any other typical Hari movie teaser, the cuts were racy, fast and abrupt. Add to that the over the top loud bass beats from the usually reliable Harris Jayaraj.

Devi Sri Prasad who handled the music in the first two parts was replaced with Harris Jayaraj, but there seems to be no difference.

Suriya is seen mouthing poorly written punch dialogues with the trademark Singam accent. Its high time an actor of Suriya’s caliber stays away from such masala movies.

Just like any other Tamil movie, both the lead heroines Shruthi Hassan and Anushka Shetty had blink-a-miss scenes in the teaser.

The action packed teaser has all the usual elements like gun shots, car chase, glasses shattering, a six packs baddie in Thakur Anoop Singh and we even have Suriya riding a horse on a highway.

Fans and the common audience will be hoping that the movie has more to offer than what is seen in the teaser. Hari has this knack of delivering commercially successful movies even with a not so impressive storyline.

The movie also stars Radhika Sarathkumar, Nithin Sathya, Robo Shankar, Soori, Chaams and Krish in other supporting roles.

Singam 3 is produced by KE Gnanavel Raja under the banner Studio Green and Aadnah Arts.

The movie is scheduled to release on December 16 this year.
