Bell Bottom trailer out; Akshay Kumar’s espionage spy thriller looks impressive

The makers of Akshay Kumar starrer ‘Bell Bottom’ have released the trailer online. While it was believed to be the remake of the 2019-released Kannada film of the same name, the trailer has proved it wrong as the film is based on an original screenplay. Directed by Ranjit M Tewari, it is an espionage spy thriller in which Akshay plays the role of a spy agent, who operates under the code name Bellbottom.

The film based on true events is about how Akshay’s character and his team free the passengers of a plane held hostage by terrorists. The trailer has Lara Dutta in an unrecognisable look as she plays the role of Prime Minister Indira Gandhi. Vaani Kapoor plays the role of Akshay’s wife and Huma Quereshi is also part of his team.

It was recently announced that ‘Bell Bottom’ will be hitting screens worldwide on August 19. Its release is expected to be a booster for theatrical business, atleast in North India.
