Bhavana–Rahman Starrer Mystery Thriller ‘Anomie’ Teaser Unveiled; Film Gears Up for January 30 Release

The makers of the upcoming Malayalam mystery thriller ‘Anomie’, starring Bhavana and Rahman in lead roles, have unveiled the film’s official teaser, offering a gripping glimpse into its emotionally charged investigative world. Slated for a theatrical release on January 30, the teaser has heightened anticipation among cinephiles, promising a layered narrative driven by mystery, emotion, and parallel investigations.

Marking a significant phase in Bhavana’s 23-year cinematic journey, Anomie presents the actor in a strikingly intense avatar. The teaser hints at her portrayal of Sara, a sharp and emotionally driven forensic analyst, whose inner conflicts appear as crucial as the crime she is trying to solve. With brooding visuals and a tense atmosphere, the teaser suggests a character-driven thriller that transcends conventional investigation dramas.

Veteran actor Rahman, seen as ACP Gibran, adds further gravitas to the narrative. Written and directed by debutant Riyas Marath, Anomie promises a fresh narrative approach by exploring simultaneous investigative perspectives, a theme subtly established through the teaser’s sharp cuts and haunting undertones. The film also stars Binu Pappu, Vishnu Agasthya, Arjun Lal, Shebin Benson, and Drishya Raghunath in key roles.

Presented by Gulshan Kumar and Bhushan Kumar under T-Series Films and Panorama Studios, the film is produced by Kumar Mangat Pathak and Abhishek Pathak, with Confident Group Chairman Dr. Roy C.J., Blitzkrieg Films, APK Cinema, and Bhavana Films Productions as production partners.

On the technical front, the teaser stands out for its intense sound design and visual mood. Harshavardhan Rameshwar, known for his nationally recognised work in Animal, composes the music, while Sujith Sarang handles cinematography. Kiran Das is in charge of editing, with action choreography by Action Santhosh.

With its gripping teaser setting the tone for an emotionally rich and investigative thriller, ‘Anomie’ is shaping up to be one of the most awaited Malayalam releases of the season, hitting theatres on January 30.
