The long wait for Vijay’s Sarkar is coming to an end this Tuesday (November 6). Bookings have already opened in Kerala and Tamil Nadu. Since the movie is releasing on the festive Diwali day, is most likely to shatter all the existing opening day collection records. As per reports from trade experts, the movie will be releasing in over 3000 screens across the world, which is the biggest ever for a Tamil movie.

As the release date is closing in, the makers have been doing aggressive promotions, both through TV channels and the social media space. A new promo video was released today. Apart from releasing it online, it is also being telecast in Sun Network channels, in order to attract the family audience. The movie is being produced by Kalanithi Maran’s Sun Pictures.

Sarkar, written and directed by AR Murugadoss is publicized as a political thriller. The movie has been made based on on the recent political events in Tamil Nadu. It has Vijay playing a multi millionaire businessman, who is forced to land in politics due to circumstances. How he initates a public uprising forms the crux of the movie.

Sarkar’s cast includes Keerthy Suresh, Varalaxmi Sarath Kumar, Pala Karuppaiah, Radha Ravi, Livingston, Yogi Babu, Prem Kumar and many others. The technical crew comprises of cinematographer Girish Gangadharan, music director AR Rahman and editor Sreekar Prasad
