Dhanush’s ‘Karnan’ has turned out to be a massive hit at the box office. The film has grossed around Rs 50 crore from Tamil Nadu theatres alone. It has already emerged as the biggest hit in Dhanush’s career after going past ‘Asuran’. As the film continues to excel in theatres, its making video has been released online. The video shows the efforts put in by the cast and crew during the shoot. One thing that easily grabs attention in the video is the ways in which director Mari Selvaraj can be seen enacting each scene for the actors before the shot.

‘Karnan’ is a rural-based drama that is partly inspired from real life incidents. The film speaks about oppression, custody violence and institutional discrimination. Dhanush plays the titular role in the film. The cast also includes Malayali actress Rajisha Vijayan, Lal, Lakshmipriya Chandramouli, Azhagar Perumal, Natarajan Subramanian, ’96’ fame Gouri Kishan and Yogi Babu among others.
