Extraordinary response for Beast’s Arabic Kuthu song

The first single from Vijay’s Beast dropped on Valentine’s Day (Feb 14). The song titled ‘Arabic Kuthu’ has got tremendous reception as it has notched up a whopping 38 million views on YouTube. Composer Anirudh has lent his vocals for the song along with Jonita Gandhi. Actor Sivakarthikeyan has penned the lyrics for the song, which is a fusion of Arabic and the local ‘Dappan koothu’. The lyric video has glimpses of Vijay and lead actress Pooja Hegde dancing. A particular step by the two has already gone viral. Jani has choreographed the song.

‘Beast’, written and directed by Nelson Dilipkumar, is touted to be a big-budget fun, action thriller. The film has a solid star cast. Ace filmmaker Selvaraghavan is playing a prominent role. Malayalam actress Aparna Das, Shine Tom Chacko, Ankur Ajit Vikal, VTV Ganesh, Yogi Babu, Redi Kingsley and Liliput Faruqui will be seen in supporting roles.

Sun Pictures is producing the film, which is expected to have a grand theatrical release in April. Though there are yet to confirm officially, it is said that the film is eyeing an April 14 release.
