‘Forbidden Love’ is anthology of four romantic thriller films — ‘Arranged Marriage’, ‘Anamika’, ‘Rules of the Game’ and ‘Diagnosis of Love’, streaming on Zee 5. Priyadarshan, Pradeep Sarkar, Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury and Mahesh Manjrekar have directed these films. Each film explores a dark side of love like infidelity, jealousy and feeling trapped in a relationship.
Ace filmmaker Priyadarshan has directed the segment ‘Anamika’ that has Pooja Kumar, Harsh Chhaya and Aditya Seal in the leads. It is the story of an older woman who is unhappy in her marriage and her relationship with a man she considers boring and moody. She finds love in a younger man but how their affair affects her life forms the plot. Pooja Kumar is noted for her performance in films like ‘Vishwaroopam’ and ‘Uttam Villain’.
‘Arranged Marriage’ directed by Pradeep Sarkar is about a homosexual couple in love. Ali Fazal and Omkar Kapoor play the lead roles. ‘Rules of the Game’ helmed by Aniruddha Roy Chaudhary is about a married couple whose game of role play is taken too far. Aahana Kumra and Chandan Roy Sanyal star in it. ‘Diagnosis of Love’ directed by Mahesh Manjrekar stars him and Raima Sen.
