Here’s the trailer of Mammootty’s Yatra

As informed earlier, the trailer of YSR biopic Yatra has been released online. The movie written and directed by Mahi V Raghav has Mammootty playing YSR’s role. The trailer has opened to great response and looks highly promising. Earlier, a couple of teasers were also released by the makers which got fabulous response from the viewers. Fans and cinephiles alike are eagerly waiting to see Mammootty’s performance as the late leader, YS Rajasekhara Reddy aka YSR.

Yatra is not exactly a biopic, but an event based film. It primarily focuses on the time during YSR’s famous three-month-long padayatra in 2003, which was a changing point in his political career. YSR is a highly respected politician in Andhra Pradesh. Even after his demise, he is still regarded as a people’s leader and respected by millions. Yatra team is hoping to make the film as a fitting tribute to the iconic leader.

Apart from Mammootty, the movie also stars Rao Ramesh, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Suhasini Mani Ratnam, Posani Krishna Murali, Vinod Kumar and Sachin Khedekar. Vijay Chilla and Shashi Devi Reddy are jointly producing the movie under their banner of 70MM Entertainments. The movie is scheduled to hit screens worldwide on February 8.
