Massive response for Jallikattu trailer!!

Last evening, the trailer of Lijo Jose Pellissery’s ‘Jallikattu’ got leaked online quite unfortunately. The makers were then forced to release the trailer officially. It is an extension version of the already stunning teaser. It is adrenaline pumping, fierce and violent at several points. As expected, the trailer has got massive response from the viewers.

‘Jallikattu’ is actually based on S Hareesh’s short story ‘Maoist’. Taking the crux out of the story, Hareesh along with R Jayakumar have developed a screenplay that explores the beastly side of man. The plot is set in a remote village in Kerala where a buffalo escapes and causes a frenzy of ecstatic violence.

Antony Varghese, Santhy Balachandran, Chemban Vinod Jose and Sabumon play major roles in the film. Its technical crew comprises of DOP Girish Gangadharan, music director Prashanth Pillai, editor Deepu Joseph and sound designer Renganaath Ravee.

After garnering tremendous response at the Toronto International Film Festival (TIFF), expectations for ‘Jallikattu’ have gone sky high. At TIFF, it received widespread appreciated and several forums have rated it among the top 10 genre films of this year. Some have even compared it to the likes of Steven Spielberg’s ‘Jaws’ and ‘The Mad Max Fury’.

‘Jallikattu’ is scheduled to hit screens on October 4.
