OK Kanmani Hindi version OK Jaanu trailer
OK Jaanu is the official remake of Kollywood blockbuster movie OK Kanmani starring Dulquer Salmaan and Nithya Menen in the lead.
Trailer of the Hindi version was released today in YouTube. The movie stars Aashiqui 2 stars Aditya Roy Kapur and Shraddha Kapoor in the lead.
It is directed by Mani Ratnam’s former assistant Shaad Ali who has earlier made movies like Saathiya, Bunty Aur Babli, Jhoom Barabar Jhoom etc.
The trailer promises a breezy romantic entertainer between two carefree youngsters who are caught up in commitment issues.
Veteran actor Nasseeruddin Shah is stepping into Prakash Raj’s character from the original. Leela Samson is reprising her character from OK Kanmani.
The Tamil version, O Kadhal Kanmani aka OK Kanmani was released last year to great response from the audience. Dulquer Salmaan’s charming performance as Adhi earned him fans in Tamil Nadu.
Nithya Menen and Dulquer shared great chemistry on screen and was one of the major highlights of the movie along with AR Rahman’s songs.
AR Rahman is composing the songs for the Hindi version also while Gulzar has written the dialogues and lyrics.
Director of OK Kanmani, Mani Ratnam and Karan Johar have together produced OK Jaanu under their banners Madras Talkies and Dharma Productions.
The movie will release on January 13, 2017.
