Queen Malayalam remake: Here’s the teaser of Manjima’s Zam Zam

As we had reported earlier, Manjima Mohan is playing the lead in the Malayalam remake of acclaimed Hindi film, ‘Queen’. Teaser of the Malayalam version, which is titled as ‘Zam Zam’, is out on social medias. Manjima shared the first look on her official Twitter handle. Along with that, the teasers of all the other South Indian versions have also been released.

The Tamil version titled as ‘Paris Paris’ has Kajal Aggarwal playing the lead. Tamannaah Bhatia stars in the Telugu version, ‘That Is Mahalakshmi’, and Parul Yadav in the Kannada verison, ‘Butterfly’. Ramesh Aravind is directing the Tamil and Kannada versions while the Telugu remake is helmed by Prashanth Varma.

The Manjima Mohan starrer ‘Zam Zam’ is directed by Neelakanta. The movie also stars Sunny Wayne, Baiju and Muthumani in major roles. Sunny Wayne is reprising the role played by Rajkummar Rao in ‘Queen’.

‘Queen’, directed by Vikas Bahl, is widely regarded as one of the finest women empowerment movies to be made in Indian cinema. It is the story of a naïve young woman, who sets out on a honeymoon trip alone after being ditched by her fiancee. Kangana Ranaut’s performance in the movie won her accolades from all quarters including a National Award and the Filmfare Award for the Best Actress in a Leading Role.

It remains to be seen if Manjima can live up to the expectations.
