Rajinikanth’s Kaala trailer takes social media by storm!

Superstar Rajinikanth’s highly anticipated gangster flick Kaala is gearing up for a grand release. The is slated to hit screens worldwide on June 7. Last day, the makers released the movie’s trailer in social medias. Within 17 hours, the trailer has fetched a whopping 2.6 million views in YouTube. It is also at the top position in the trending list. Rajinikanth’s terrific screen presence and the politics the movie discusses are the highlights of this 1.31 minute trailer.

Kaala marks the superstar’s reunion with director Pa Ranjith after Kabali. The movie is basically a gangster story based in the Mumbai underworld. It is about a guy from Tirunelveli, who runs away in his childhood to Mumbai to become a powerful don living in the slums. Rajinikanth plays this character, Kaala, who heads the Tamil community in the slums of Dharavi.

Kaala has an ensemble supporting cast which includes several noted actors from North India. Bollywood actress Huma Qureshi is playing the female lead while Multiple national award winner Nana Patekar plays the antagonist. Pankaj Tripathi, Eeshwari Rao, Anjali Patil, Sayaji Shinde, Sakshi Agarwal, Samuthirakani, Sukanya, Ramesh Thilak and Sampath Raj are also part of the supporting cast.

Kaala’s technical crew includes cinematographer Murali, editor Sreekar Prasad and Pa Ranjith’s regular composer Santhosh Narayanan. Rajinikanth’s son-in-law and actor Dhanush is producing Kaala under his banner Wunderbar Films Pvt Ltd. All three versions of the movie – Tamil, Telugu and Hindi will be releasing on the same day, June 7.
