Rudhramadevi is an upcoming historical film, based on the life of Rudrama Devi one of the prominent rulers of the Kakatiya dynasty in the Deccan Plateau, and one of the few ruling queens in Indian history. The film is being written and directed by Gunasekhar in 3D and features an ensemble cast of Anushka Shetty, Allu Arjun, Rana Daggubati, Vikramjeet Virk, Prakash Raj, Krishnam Raju, Nithya Menen, Baba Sehgal and Catherine Tresa, among others. Anushka Shetty plays the role of Rudrama Devi.The film’s soundtrack and background score were composed by Ilaiyaraaja.The film is releasing at 9 October 2015.
