Toofan trailer out; Farhan Akhtar does pack a punch!

The trailer of Farhan Akhtar’s eagerly awaited boxing film ‘Toofan’ has been released online. The film is directed by Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra of ‘Rang De Basanti’ fame. It is his second outing with Farhan after the superhit ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’.

‘Toofan’ follows the life of Aziz Ali aka Ajju bhai, a goon who transforms into a boxer with the help of his coach and girlfriend. Mrunal Thakur is paired with Farhan in the film and Paresh Rawal essays the coach’s role. Others in the cast include Supriya Pathak Kapur, Hussain Dalal, Mohan Agashe and Darshan Kumaar.

‘Toofan’ is scripted by Anjum Rajabali with additional screenplay and dialogues by Vijay Maurya. Shankar Ehsaan Loy handle the music department. Meghna Manchanda Sen is the editor and cinematography is by Jay Oza. Ritesh Sidhwani, Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra and Farhan Akhtar are jointly producing the film. It is scheduled to have its world premiere in Amazon Prime Video on July 16, 2021
