The much awaited Sivakarthikeyan-Fahadh Faasil starrer Velaikkaran is finally releasing this Friday. Written and directed by Mohan Raja, the movie has its music by Anirudh Ravichander and is produced by RD Raja of 24 AM Studios. Unlike other Tamil films, Velaikkaran will not have a trailer but some very interesting promo videos. The latest 15 second video is a very intense one giving a sneak-peak to the movie’s core theme of a common man fighting against the corporates.

Expectations are high among the audience for Velaikkaran majorly due to the stellar star cast and the fact that the director’s last film Thani Oruvan was a widely acclaimed one. Like his previous film, Mohan Raja has dished out another socially relevant commercial entertainer.

Sivakarthikeyan and Fahadh Faasil, who is making his Tamil debut with Velaikkaran, is playing the lead roles. The former plays Arivu, a slum dweller while Fahadh plays Aadhi, which is said to be a grey shaded role. There are different layers to the relationship between these two lead characters. It begins as a friendship; there is also a guru-sishya element and it also has a clash of personalities.

Velaikkaran’s huge star cast also includes Nayanthara, Sneha, Prakash Raj, Rohini, Thambi Ramaiah, Robo Shankar, RJ Balaji, Sathish and many others. The director has said that each character will have its prominence in the movie’s storyline. All eyes on December 22 as the movie gears up for a massive release worldwide.
