‘Aarkkariyam’ starring Biju Menon, Parvathy and Sharafudheen is currently streaming on Amazon Prime Video. Though the film had its theatrical release in April, it didn’t have a successful run mainly due to the pandemic. It is only after the OTT release that the film found its right audience. Meanwhile, the film’s making video has been released online. It is a compilation of the various interesting moments that occurred on sets during shoot. Since the film was shot during the pandemic, all the crew members are seen wearing masks throughout. Director Sanu John Varughese can also be seen giving detailed instructions to his actors and extracting what he wants from them.

‘Aarkkariyam’ set in the post-pandemic world starts off as a regular family drama and turns into a murder-mystery. The film is minimal in its approach and moves at a leisurely pace. There is hardly any spoon-feeding and offers a space for various interpretations.

Since the film is streaming on Amazon Prime with subtitles, hardcore non-Malayali cinephiles are also loving it.
