Watch: Rajinikanth is all style and swag in this new promo video of Darbar!

We are hardly a week away from the release of superstar Rajinikanth’s much awaited film, ‘Darbar’. Last day, after the film got censored with an U/A certificate, the makers confirmed that the film will be hitting screens worldwide on January 9. Along with that, a new promo cut also got released online. Rajini is all about style and swag as he seems to have aced the badass cop’s role.

‘Darbar’, written and directed AR Murugadoss, is a cop action thriller set in Mumbai. Rajinikanth plays a top rank officer and his character is named as Aaditya Arunasalam. He is playing a cop’s role after over two decades and expectations are hence huge. Nayanthara is paired with Rajini and Niveth Thomas plays his daughter. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty plays the villain role. Prateik Babbar, Sriman, Yogi Babu, cricketer Yuvraj Singh’s Yograj Singh and many others are part of the cast.

Leading production house Lyca Productions is backing the film. Since the film is slated for release during the Pongal season, it is certain to take a massive opening at the domestic box office.
