‘Chumma Kizhi’, the single from Rajinikanth’s Darbar had turned out to be a sensational hit. As the release date is closing in, the makers have released the teaser of the song online. At the age of 69, the superstar is high on energy as he moves stylishly to Anirudh’s beats. It is a rocking opening number rendered by the legendary SP Balasubrahmanyam, who has sung some of superstar’s most memorable opening songs. Vivek has penned the lyrics

‘Darbar’, written and directed by AR Murugadoss, is a mass action-thriller that has Rajinikanth in a police officer’s role. Nayanthara is paired opposite him and Nivetha Thomas will be seen as his daughter. Bollywood actor Suniel Shetty is making his Tamil debut by playing the villain role.

The film produced by Lyca Productions is scheduled for a grand worldwide release on January 9. Since it hitting screens during the Pongal season, the film is certain to take a massive opening at the domestic box office.
