As announced earlier by the makers, the eagerly awaited trailer of ‘Mamangam’ has just been released online. The trailer, as expected, is visually stunning with glimpses of the huge set pieces and some fierce action sequences. It seems like at the core of it all is a strong emotional quotient.

‘Mamangam’ directed by Padmakumar is made on a huge scale with massive production values, star-studded cast and a strong technical crew. Along with Mammootty, actors like Unni Mukundan, Prachi Tehlan, Sudev Nair, Kaniha, Anu Sithara, Suresh Krishna and Inyea will be seen in major roles.

‘Mamangam’, as per the makers, is a historic film with almost 80% of it being inspired from true events. Sajeev Pillai penned the script originally, which was later adapted by Shanker Ramakrishnan. The film is based on the religious festival, Mamangam, that took place every 12 years in a place called Thirunavaya,on the banks of Bharathapuzha, for over 280 years.

Venu Kunnappilly of Kavya Films is producing the film, which is slated to hit screens on November 21. Apart from Malayalam, the film is releasing in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi languages as well.
