Allu Arjun’s Pushpa 2: The Rule has set the global box office ablaze, achieving a historic ₹270 crore opening day worldwide, according to early estimates. Directed by Sukumar, the film has broken the long-standing record of Baahubali 2, which earned ₹200 crore on its first day in 2017, cementing Pushpa 2 as the biggest Indian film opening of all time.
The film witnessed an explosive start in India, grossing an estimated ₹198.7 crore, with Andhra Pradesh and Telangana leading the charge with ₹85 crore. North India contributed a staggering ₹81.25 crore, while Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, and Kerala added ₹15 crore, ₹11.25 crore, and ₹6.2 crore, respectively.
On the international front, Pushpa 2 raked in approximately $8.05 million (₹68.3 crore), further solidifying its global dominance. This unprecedented start marks a 25% increase over the previous record, making Allu Arjun a global sensation and reaffirming his title as one of Indian cinema’s biggest crowd-pullers.
