Kali Collection Report –  21 Days

The Sameer Thahir directorial film Kali with Dulquer Salmaan and Sai Pallavi in the lead is now struggling at Kerala box office after a number of vacation releases had come and doing good at box office. The film had made a record opening for sure owing to the star value of Dulquer Salmaan and the popularity it got through names such as Sameer Thahir and Sai Pallavi.

The film had created mixed reviews among the audience and the family support was not there for the film as well. That is why it had went down drastically after the first week. As per the latest collection reports, Kali had managed to make above 12.3 crore from 21 days of its run here in Kerala box office.

The releases like Dileep’s King Liar and Nivin Pauly’s Jacobinte Swargarajyam had affected Kali a great deal. Both the above mentioned films were complete family oriented films with fun elements. So Family audience naturally chose those films over Kali, which is a kind of realistic thriller.

Kali had failed to maintain the steady collection after the first 10 days. But the film’s first week collection had made it sure that it had reached a safe shore in terms of its status in box office. Even though it will not become a Blockbuster of this season, it definitely gave another success to Dulquer Salmaan, his second in a row.
