Kerala Box Office : Pulimurugan beats Drishyam collection record

Mohanlal starrer Pulimurugan continues to create new records in the Kerala Box Office.

It is official now that Pulimurugan has beaten the Kerala collection records of Drishyam and now has become the highest grossing Malayalam movie in Kerala.

Pulimurugan has broken the Kerala collections of Drishyam’s 190 day run in just two-three weeks of its release. This is indeed a remarkable achievement for the team of Pulimurugan.

As per reports, Pulimurugan now has collected 45 crores from Kerala alone. Drishyam has collected 44 crores from its massive 190 day run. Ennu Ninte Moideen stands third with an amount of around 41.9 crores. Nivin Pauly starrer Premam is the next in the list with an amount of around 40 crores.

Another Mohanlal starrer Oppam, released this year during the Onam is also among the top 5 movies with a collection of 38.36 crores. Oppam is still running in the theatres. Earlier this week Oppam crossed the 50 crore mark with the overall collections.

Pulimurugan has having a phenomenonal run in the theatres even after three weeks of its release. Trade experts believe that Pulimurugan can surely cross the 100 crore mark. If it happens, Pulimurugan will be the first Malayalam movie ever to touch the coveted mark.

Pulimurugan is an action packed entertainer written by Udyakrishna and directed by Vysakh. This big budget movie is bankrolled by Tomichan Mulakupadam under his banner Mulakupadam films.

Pulimurugan also stars Telugu star Jagathi Babu, Kamalini Mukherjee, Kishore, Bala, Lal ,Vinu Mohan and others playing supporting roles.
