Kerala Box Office: Ramaleela 3 Days Collection Report

Dileep’s Ramaleela has opened to stupendous response at the box office. The movie released on September 28 overcoming all sorts of hurdles that followed after the actor’s arrest. But the massive response in theatres underlines the fact that cinema always lies above individuals. Several theatres across the state are running late night special shows due to the huge crowd, which also includes the family audience.

According to collection reports from our trade sources, Ramaleela has grossed a whopping Rs 7.70 crores from its first three days of theatrical run in Kerala alone. This is a phenomenal opening considering the issues amidst which the movie has been released.

Industry insiders and trade pundits believe that Ramaleela has the potential to emerge one of the top three highest grossers in Malayalam cinema. Directors like Vineeth Sreenivasan, Vysakh, Boban Samuel, Lal Jose, Ranjith Sankar, Marthandan etc have heaped praise on the movie.

Ramaleela, directed by debutant Arun Gopy is a political thriller. Sachi has scripted this movie which features Dileep as Ramanunni, a public representative. Prayaga Martin has played the female lead while actors like Raadhika Sarathkumar, Mukesh, Viayaraghavan, Kalabhavan Shajon and Suresh Krishna are also part of the supporting cast.

Shaji Kumar has cranked the camera and Vivek Harshan has edited the movie. Gopi Sunder has handled the music department. This big budget movie is funded by Tomichan Mulakupadam’s Mulakupadam Films.
