Mohanlal movie Pulimurugan in 50 crore club

Mohanlal has once again made his mark in the 50 crore club of Mollywood, with his latest release named Pulimurugan directed by Vysakh.

The official collection report of the movie had arrived and it says that the film had collected 40 crore from Kerala in just 14 days and in the same number of days, it had grossed around 12 crore from its rest of India market.

Thus altogether, the gross of Pulimurugan from its all India run is around 52 crore in 14 days. It is a new history in Mollywood and Mohanlal had broken his own record.

His movie Oppam was the fastest Malayalam movie to collect 50 crore and it took 38 days to do it. But Pulimurugan had took only 14 days to achieve that landmark.

When we consider the Kerala share of the movie, it had got close to 19 crore and it already surpassed Drishyam share to become the new industry hit in Mollywood.

By this coming Sunday, it will officially become the new industry hit in Mollywood by surpassing the total Kerala gross of Drishyam. Now Mohanlal has 3 movies in the 50 crore club of Mollywood.

There are some media reports that the movie had collected above 60 crore from 14 days. But it was indeed the total business done by the film and not the collection.

The film said to have earned around 15 crore before its release and it was added to the total gross of 52 crore.
