Aadujeevitham next schedule planned in Algeria
Ace filmmaker Blessy’s highly ambitious film ‘Aadujeevitham’ has been in the making for over three years. However, the film still in the halfway stage. The makers have had to endure various obstacles during this period, the latest being the pandemic. Earlier this year, actor Prithviraj had undergone a drastic physical transformation, a first of this kind in Malayalam cinema, for playing the lead character Najeeb. They were shooting in Jordan when the pandemic situation worsened worldwide. As a result, the 56-member team got struck in the country for over a month before the government arranged their return.
Despite all that, director Blessy and his team is still pursuing the project with the same passion. They are planning the next schedule in Algeria. Major portions will be shot in the Sahara desert. They are waiting for the restrictions to be lifted and acquire the required permissions for shooting abroad.
‘Aadujeevitham’ is based on a popular novel of the same name by Benyamin. The story is about a Najeeb, a migrant labourer who gets stranded in the deserts of Saudi Arabia. For playing the character, Prithviraj had lost around 30 kilos to achieve a malnourished look. Amala Paul is also part of the cast. Maestro AR Rahman is making his comeback to Malayalam after two long decades with this film.
