Aashirvad bags Kerala distribution rights of Dhanush’s Karnan

Dhanush’s ‘Karnan’ is easily one of the most hyped Tamil films of the year. Amidst massive expectations, it is gearing up to hit screens on April 9. The film’s Kerala distribution rights have been bagged by Aashirvad Cinemas, headed by Antony Perumbavoor. Since it is one of the biggest banners in Malayalam industry, ‘Karnan’ is certain to release in a good number of screens in Kerala. The film is expected to do good business during the Vishu weekend.

‘Karnan’ is directed by Mari Selvaraj, whose debut film ‘Pariyerum Perumal’ was a widely acclaimed one. Dhanush plays the titular role in this rural-based drama that is partly inspired from real life incidents. From the promos released so far, the film promises to be an intense and hard-hitting one.

‘Karnan’ has Malayali actress Rajisha Vijayan paired with Dhanush. The supporting cast includes Lal, Lakshmipriya Chandramouli, Azhagar Perumal, Natarajan Subramanian, ’96’ fame Gouri Kishan and Yogi Babu among other. Kollywood’s veteran producer Kalipuli S Thanu is producing the film under the banner of V Creations.
