Mammootty to do a film with Shafi-Rafi duo next year

A happy news is coming for the fans of Mammootty. As per reports, the brothers of success, Shafi and Rafi is all set to join for a Mammootty project after the super successful movie Two Countries with Dileep, which released last year. Shafi will direct this upcoming movie and Rafi will be the screen writer. The project is in its discussion stage now and they had preparing a humorous plot for this film. The writing of the screenplay of this film is not yet started but they are planning to start it in next year.

Rafi is now busy with the screenplay writing of Dileep starrer 3D film Professor Dinkan which will be directed by Ramachandra Babu. The filming of Professor Dinkan may begin by this coming October. After that, he will start writing the screenplay of his next directorial venture after Ring Master that released in 2014.

There are reports that Fahad Fazil has been approached to play the lead in Rafi’s next directorial venture. It will be confirmed very soon. Only after that, he will start writing for Mammootty-Shafi project.

This trio of Mammootty-Shafi and Rafi had united earlier in 2007 for the project named Mayavi and it was a big success. Mayavi was written by Rafi-Mecartin team and directed by Shafi. There are unconfirmed reports that Shafi will have a Mohanlal film as well which will be written by Benny P Nayarambalam next year.
