After Pulimurugan, Kalavoor Ravikumar facing a new problem

Kalavoor Ravikumar’s upcoming movie Kuttikalund Sookshikkuka is gearing up for release this month. The movie was scheduled to release last month, but was postponed due to the huge success of Pulimurugan.

But director Kalavoor Ravikumar is now facing a new problem in the form of cash shortage due to the demonetisation move initiated by the government.

Kalavoor Ravikumar has said that the Prime Minister’s sudden move has affected the entertainment industry adversely.

Kuttikalund Sookshikkuka is scheduled to release on November 25th. But thetares in Kerala are wearing a deserted look. People are spending money only for their day to day needs. As a result the entertainment industry has been largely affected by the scrapping of 500 and 1000 rupee notes.

Kalavoor Ravikumar has said that it is very difficult to postpone the release of movies repeatedly. The posters have already been printed, thetares are blocked, movie has also been uploaded to UFO and cube. So postponing the movie again can incur huge losses for the producer.

Theatre owners should stand by the producers in this dire situation. Good movies should be encouraged and not removed from screening very soon, said the director.
