Amala Paul in Queen Malayalam remake

It is reported that actress Amala Paul will be playing the lead role in the Malayalam version of the blockbuster Bollywood movie Queen released in 2015.

Queen enjoys a cult status among the audience for its female empowerment theme and the strong message about girl power that the movie conveys.

Kangana Ranaut bagged a well deserved National award for her stunning performance in the movie. She played the role of Rani, an unsophisticated woman who sets out on a honeymoon trip alone after being ditched by her fiancee. Queen was directed by critically acclaimed filmmaker Vikas Bahl.

The Malayalam version is directed by actress/filmmaker Revathi. More details about the other cast and crew will be announced soon.

Tamannaah Bhatia is playing the lead role in the Tamil verison which is also directed by Revathy while Rakul Preet Singh is playing the lead in the Kannada version, directed by Prakash Raj.

Amala Paul has also signed up for some other movies in Kollywood like Dhanush’s VIP 2, Vetrimaran-Dhanush combo’s gangster drama Vada Chennai, Thiruttu Payale 2 with Bobby Simha and Prasanna.

In Mollywood, She is doing the female lead character in the multi starrer Achayans directed by Kannan Thamarakulam.
