Anwar Rasheed’s next after Trance is with Vikram?

Anwar Rasheed is one of the most successful directors in Malayalam film industry. In his 13-year-long career, he has directed only four films and a couple of short film segments. He is currently helming the Fahadh Faasil starrer ‘Trance’, which is eagerly awaited by the cinephiles. The movie has been on the floors for over a year and is slated for release next March. The latest we hear is that Anwar Rasheed is set to join hands with Tamil star ‘Chiyaan’ Vikram.

As per our sources, Anwar Rasheed is planning to team up with Vikram after the completion of ‘Trance’. The movie is said to be a Malappuram based period flick set in the 70s. If this turns out to be true, it will mark Vikram’s comeback to Malayalam industry after nearly two decades. Harshad, the scriptwriter of Mammootty starrer ‘Unda’, is penning this upcoming movie as well. It is worth a mention that ‘Unda’ was initially supposed to be produced by Anwar Rasheed.

Vikram is currently shooting for his new Tamil movie with director Rajesh M Selva of ‘Thoongavanam’ fame. The movie also starring Akshara Haasan is produced by Kamal Haasan’s banner Raj Kamal International and Tridents Arts. Vikram has also committed for RS Vimal’s mega budget project, ‘Mahavir Karna’. An official word regarding his association with Anwar Rasheed is expected to be made very shortly.
