Asif Ali’s Maheshum Marutiyum to be produced by Maniyanpilla Raju; Prithviraj to unveil the first look poster

We had earlier reported about Asif Ali teaming up with director Sethu of ‘Oru Kuttanadan Blog’ fame. The film has been titled as as ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ and it will be produced by veteran actor Maniyanpilla Raju. Its first look poster will be released by actor Prithviraj Sukumaran through his social media handle on August 25th at 10 AM.

According to director Sethu, ‘Maheshum Marutiyum’ is a triangular love story between Mahesh, a girl and a Maruti 800 car. The story revolves around Mahesh’s emotional attachment to the vehicle and how things change after a girl enters his life. Interestingly, this was supposed to be Sethu’s directorial debut. But he went ahead with ‘Oru Kuttanadan Blog’ when he got an opportunity to direct Mammootty.

Asif Ali currently has a bunch of promising projects lined up. He was shooting for Rajeev Ravi’s cop-thriller ‘Kuttavum Shikshayum’ when the lockdown was announced. ‘Kunjeldho’ directed by RJ Mathukutty is most likely to be Asif’s release once theatres resume functioning. He also has ‘Ellam Sheriyaakum’ with Jibu Jacob, ‘Thattum Vellattam’ with Mridul Nair and and an untitled film with M Padmakumar coming up.
