Baahubali 2 will be the first South Indian movie to be released in IMAX format

SS Rajamouli’s magnum opus Baahubali 2 is gearing up for a massive worldwide release on April 28. Trailer for the movie was released to massive response from the viewers. It is currently the most watched Indian trailer fetching more than 65 lakh views.

Expectations are sky-high for the movie. It has already made some whopping pre-release business. According to official reports, the film has already done a pre release business of more than Rs 500 crores.

Shobu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni have bank rolled the movie under the banner Arka Works. Shobu Yarlagadda through his Twitter account revealed that Baahubali 2 will be released in IMAX format thus becoming the first South Indian movie to release in IMAX format.

His tweet reads,

“Excited that @BaahubaliMovie 2 will release in@IMAX format as well! It will enhance the scale and immersive experience of our movie!.”

Baahubali 2 will be the third Indian film after Aamir Khan’s Dhoom 3 and Hrithik Roshan’s Bang Bang to release in IMAX format. An elite league indeed.

From the trailer itself, it is certain that the second part will be even better in terms of grandeur in technical values. So it will truly be an one of it’s kind experience for movie buffs to watch the biggest Indian movie ever in IMAX format.
