Baahubali’s story haunted me for a long time: Prabhas
Baahubali is now widely regarded as the pride of Indian cinema. The sequel in the series was released recently and has already crossed the Rs 1000 crore mark. It is the first ever Indian movie to achieve the feat.
Baahubali is a product of SS Rajamouli’s unparalleled vision and imagination. His father KV Vijayendra Prasad wrote the story of the movie. Rajamouli later made it into two parts and churned out an engaging screenplay.
The first part released in 2015, blew the audience away with it’s magnificent visuals and scale. It had a lot of unanswered questions that kept the audience guessing for almost an year and a half. Apart from the huge scale and CGI, it is the script that is the backbone of the movie.
Prabhas in a recent interview revealed how Rajamouli narrated the idea to him during the shoot of Rebel. The story kept haunting Prabhas for a long time. He believes that the same happened to the audience after the first part’s release. The sequel’s massive success is a testimony to how well the story has captivated the audience.
Baahubali 2: The Conclusion hit screens worldwide on April 28. It was released simultaneously in four languages- Telugu, Tamil, Hindi and Malayalam. The movie has shattered all pre-existing records for an Indian movie to emerge as the highest grossing Indian movie ever.
