Dhanush to share screen space with Rajinikanth

Actor Dhanush had earlier officially announced that his Wunderbar Films will be producing his father-in-law superstar Rajinikanth’s next movie with Pa Ranjith. The duo had teamed up last year for the blockbuster Kabali. The upcoming movie which happens to be the superstar’s 161th film will start rolling on May 28 this year.

An interesting bit of information that is coming in from Kollywood media circles is that Dhanush will be playing a small cameo in the movie. If the reports are true, this is the first time he will sharing screen space with Rajinikanth.

The yet to be titled movie is said to be a socially relevant mass entertainer. The team is erecting a huge set in Chennai that resembles the slums of Dharavi in Mumbai. Santhosh Narayanan has been roped in to handle the music department. More details regarding the project will be announced in the coming days.

Meanwhile, Rajinikanth is currently in the final leg of shoot for 2.0, the much awaited sequel to Enthiran. This Shankar directorial also stars Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar and Amy Jackson in major roles. 2.0 is scheduled to hit screens for Pongal next year.

Dhanush is also busy with multiple projects. He has wrapped up for his portions for Gautham Menon’s Enai Nokki Paayum Thotta. He is currently shooting for Velaiilla Pattadhari 2 and has also signed for Vetrimaran’s upcoming gangster saga Vada Chennai.
