Dhanush and Vetrimaaran team up once again after Vada Chennai; Here’s the first look of Asuran

Dhanush-Vetrimaaran combo is one of the most favorite actor-director duos in Tamil film industry. Their recent outing ‘Vada Chennai’ was successful at the box office and won widespread critical acclaim. Big news is that the duo is coming together once again. The first look poster of their new movie, ‘Asuran’ was unveiled today in social medias. Kalaipuli S Thanu of V Creations is producing the movie. More details are expected to be revealed shortly.

Dhanush and Vetrimaaran have previously collaborated for acclaimed films like ‘Polladhavan’, ‘Aadukalam’ and ‘Visaranai’. ‘Aadukalam’ alone won six awards at the National level, which included two for Vetrimaaran (best director and best scriptwriter) and best actor for Dhanush. ‘Visaranai’, which was co-produced by Dhanush, also won multiple National awards. It was also India’s
official submissions to the 89th Academy Awards for Best Foreign Language Film.

The first part of their three-part gangster saga ‘Vada Chennai’ was released in October 17. Around 20% of the second part has already been shot. Renaming works will be resumed once they finish shooting for ‘Asuran’.
