Director Roopesh Peethambaran got arrested by police for chewing Orbit while driving !

A strange act from Kerala Police had made popular director Roopesh Peethambaran to remain in police custody for few hours, He had posted about that in his Facebook page after getting out. He said that last day while he was driving his car, police stopped him for checking whether he is driving the car after consuming alcohol or not.

When they said him to blow to the alcohol meter, he did exactly what they said. But, the meter beeped and he was taken into custody for blood test to find out the alcohol content in his blood. But he says that in fact it was not alcohol. He was chewing an Orbit Chewing gum and the outdated police Alcohol Meter even beeped for that.

Roopesh Peethambaran said that later they apologized to him for the inconvenience caused after checking his blood test result. If we ask for an explanation from police, they will blame the outdated alcohol Meter provided to them by the government bodies for such incidents. Roopesh Peethambaran asks that What‘s next ? Will it be banning Orbit Chewing Gums and VicksTablets..?

Roopesh Peethambaran had really put in a sarcastic manner. Because the incident shows the inefficiency of our system and the plight of a common man who had to suffer for every inefficiencies from our ruling parties.
