Dulquer is the co-star I have learnt the most from: Kalyani Priyadarshan

Kalyani Priyadarshan is already a popular name along the South Indian film buffs courtesy her performance in Telugu films like ‘Hello’, ‘Ranarangam’ and her recently released Tamil film ‘Hero’. However, the pretty actress is yet to make her debut in her home industry, Malayalam. She is now debuting in M Town with a cameo role in her father Priyadarshan’s ambitious film ‘Marakkar: Arabikadalinte Simham’.

Since it is a brief appearance, Kalyani’s first full length outing in Malayalam will be with ‘Varane Avavshyamund’, in which she shares screen space with the likes of Shobhana, Suresh Gopi, Dulquer Salmaan and Urvashi. Sathyan Anthikad’s son Anoop Sathyan is directing the film which is currently in the post-production stage.

Kalyani had waited for long to make her Malayalam debut with a good film and she now feels that ‘Varane Avashymund’ is worth all the wait. The actress has pinned high hopes on the film as believes that the audience will get to see her real potential in it.

In a recent interview to TOI, Kalyani also opened up about her working experience in the film. Though their celebrity fathers were close friends, Dulquer and Kalyni hardly met. It was during the pooja function of their film that they both first interacted. According to her, Dulquer is the co-star from whom she has learnt the most from.

If things turn out as per plans, ‘Varane Avashyamundu’ will be hitting screens in February. Dulquer Salmaan is producing the film under his banner of Wayfarer Films. M Star Communications is also associated with the production.
